MAGICAL EFFECT I really didn't know what to call this effect, but someone I showed the image to exclaimed "It looks magical!" This tutorail shows just one way that RD can be used for photo manipulation. |

Step 1 Select a picture and copy and paste it. Click on the eye of the top layer (there should be a red x on the eye). |

Step 2. Select the bottom layer and click on Bitmap>Tweak and then select 'Color-Boost.' Then click on 'Apply'. |

Step 3. Make the top layer visible by clicking on the eye to remove the red x. Click on Bitmap>Tweak and then select Melter. Click on 'Apply' |

Step 4. With the top layer still selected, apply a Linear Transparency and edit the transparency as indicated on the picture to the right. Some of you may want to stop here, but the following steps offer just the right touch of color and makes a big difference in the outcome. |

Step 5. Drag out a rectangle so that it is just above the smaller balloon on the right side of the bitmap. Color the rectangle red. Then, on the layers palate, select 'Difference' for the blending mode. |

Step 6 With the rectangle (top layer) still selected, apply a bilinear transparency and edit the transparency as shown on the image to the right. |

Step 7. Press Ctrl+A to select all objects. Click on 'Bitmap>Create>New Bitmap from Selected Objects. Click on Bitmap>Tweak>Color-Boost and them click on 'Apply.' Add a Lens Flare over the balloon to the right and you are done!! Magicical... |
