Bunny

In this tutorial, you will learn how to draw a bunny rabbit.

Step 1.Drag out a circle that will be the bunny's head.

Step 2. Drag out 2 narrow ovals using the circle tool Rotate and position the circles as shown in the image to the right.

Step 3, Drag out an oval using the circle tool. This will be the bunny's body. Rotate and position the body as shown.

.

Step 4.  Now that we have the head and body, it is time to make the bunny's feet & leg. Drag out a rounded rectangle. I made mine in blue so you could see it easily. Double click on it and delete nodes on the upper left corner until it looks like the foot in the image to the right.

Copy the foot but don't paste it  yet. Move the foot to the back (bottom layer).

Step 5.Now paste the foot, then drag out a circle and position it as shown. Mine is in green so you can see it. Select both the foot and the circle. Go to the menu and click on Object>Combine Objects>Boolean Union.

Color the combined foot/leg the same color as the body. Outline it so you will be able to see it. Later, you will remove the outline from the foot/leg.

Step 6 Drag out  2 small circles and ovelap them slightly as shown. Combine them the same way you combined objects in Step 5. Color the combined objects a flesh-like color. I used rgb 254, 225, 185. Outline the object with a blurred outline in a light gray color.

Step 7. Draw 2 black circles for the eyes, and a triangle for the nose. Add 2 small rectangles for the teeth. I have outlined the rabbit here for you to see it clearly, but don't outline anything in this step except for the teeth. Outline the teeth in a gray color.

Step 7. Almost done, just a couple of more things...Drag out a circle that is shaped like the flesh colored circle in the image to the right. Double click on it and select the top center node and move it down slightly. Select the bottom center node and move it up slightly. Move it back behind the foot/leg.

Step 8.  The last things to do...Draw a small circle for the tail. Select the foot/leg, turn the outline off and give  it a Drop Gradiant effect.  Now select all the parts of the bunny and create a package. Give the package a blurred outline. Add some shading with a darker pink along the outside edge and the ears.  Whew!  You are done! Be creative and add a background and other objects and see what you can come up with.  Take a look at this version-- I call it 'Hungry Bunny'.
